About
InSync is a training program where duos of creators with and without hearing impairments work towards a professional career in the performing arts. Through a combination of Dutch Sign Language and spoken Dutch, new forms of visually engaging performing arts are created. Think of comedy, (un)spoken word, dance, sign language, and more.
InSync inspires, breaks down boundaries, and creates opportunities based on equality.

For whom?
InSync is for people between the ages of 16 and 24 who are serious about working in the performing arts. Experience is not required to participate, but it is definitely a plus.
Participants in InSync are:
- between 16 and 24 years old
- proficient in sign language or willing to learn it
- available from October to December 2024
Examples of performing arts that fit InSync include: poetry, spoken word, hip hop/rap, deaf rap, singer/songwriter, deaf performer, dance, etc...

What will I learn?
InSync begins with a writing weekend. Under the guidance of various professional coaches, you'll receive all the tools you need for the creative journey you're about to embark on with your collaboration partner. After that, there will be several masterclasses on topics such as artist branding, social media, and the business side of performing. Throughout the entire program, we will organize refining days and small-scale performances where you'll continuously work on perfecting your act.
